As a three-time melanoma survivor and founder of the Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Foundation, Tracy Callahan is passionate about fundraising for melanoma research and educating the community on sun safety. Prior to founding PDMMF, Callahan was the owner of a successful newborn photography studio, Memories by TLC. She is a pediatric nurse by trade and has worked in pediatric bone marrow transplant units, pediatric intensive care units and as a research nurse coordinator for the UNC Cystic Fibrosis Research Program. Her two sons, Matthew and Carter, fondly nicknamed her “the polka dot mama” after her first melanoma diagnosis in 2015. She resides with her husband, two boys and one spoiled golden doodle in Cary, North Carolina.
Joseph Bracken is an associate legal counsel for Strikeiron, a cloud-based data quality solution. Bracken previously specialized in due diligence and intellectual property at IBM and was a commercial litigator in private practice. He has degrees from the University of Notre Dame, Princeton University, and New York University’s School of Law. Bracken resides in Cary, North Carolina with his wife and three children.
Kym Wootton has over 15 years of experience in marketing, communications, and brand management. She specializes in product and content marketing, strategic partnerships, and management. Wootton is currently the Vice President of Marketing for E Source, an energy efficiency research firm. Previously, she held a senior leadership role within the business intelligence and data warehousing industry. She holds a degree in psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. She currently lives in Boulder, Colorado with her husband and two sons.
Lucia Riley is a senior graphic designer at SAS with more than 13 years of experience designing for the analytics industry. Spending her early days in creative agencies, the foundation of her career was built by helping clients establish their brand identity. Riley now works within SAS’ internal creative group designing all facets of campaigns — from event and trade show design to digital and email marketing. She graduated from the UNC School of Media and Journalism with a concentration in visual design. She currently lives in Apex, North Carolina with her husband and two children.
Quinn O’Brien is the Vice President of Global Brand Strategy and Communications for Lenovo. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that consumers around the world clearly and consistently understand what Lenovo stands for as a brand. Prior to joining Lenovo, O’Brien held senior management positions at some of the world’s top advertising agencies. His brand building experience spans a wide range of clients including British Airways, Cisco, Coca-Cola, DuPont, General Mills, General Motors, Intercontinental Hotels, IBM, Kodak, Lenovo, L’Oreal, Unilever, UPS, Verizon and Volkswagen. O’Brien currently lives in Cary, North Carolina with his wife, two daughters and a seemingly never-ending stream of pets.
Billy Willis has served as a board member for numerous non-profit, public sector, and publicly traded organizations. A recognized leader in the Information Technology community, Willis currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Duke Medicine and is responsible for strategic planning, deployment support of critical IT infrastructure, application management, and integration services across the enterprise. Willis resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife. He is also a melanoma survivor.
Bill Gibson retired April 2014, after working at ABB Inc. and Westinghouse for 45 years. He held domestic and international sales leadership responsibilities, product line general management and other various executive functions throughout his career. Earlier he served as an officer in the U. S. Army. His training includes a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He and his wife Dorris have settled in Cary, NC with their two sons and grandchildren nearby.
